It is used an herbal supplement for weight loss, constipation, Type 2 Diabetes, cholesterol control and Hypertension.

Glucomannan forms a water soluble fiber once it enters the stomach absorbing sugars and cholesterol in the intestine. This reduces the the risk of type 2 diabetes, increases weight loss and relief from constipation.Though it’s weight loss benefits have been proven recently studied, FDA is yet to approve it as a herbal supplement. However, there are certain supplements with glucomanan as an ingredient approved by Health Canada.
